When she claims to have one hundred dresses in her closet at home, the teasing begins. As the new girl in school, her classmates at Franklin Elementary don’t quite know how accept a girl with the funny accent and a faded blue dress. THE HUNDRED DRESSES, a Musical, brings to life the story of Wanda Petronski. Traveling Troupe performances offers children and families a ‘first theatre experience’ and brings favorite childhood books to life for a transforming ‘page to stage’ experience. However, four performances on March 7, 14, and 21 (and June 6) will be held at Civic Theatre, and are open to the public, and totally free. All performances take place in area of Kent County Public and private schools. Traveling Troupe is made-up of a group of pre-teens, teens and adults volunteering their time to perform a family-friendly production for children aged, 8-14 years and their families.
